  • Resolved Question: Why do we have a Columbus Day?

    That guy exploited, rape, killed, and stole form the natives. I think it’s disrespectful to our Native Americans to honor a villain. Also in school, they don’t even teach about his atrocities but how he sailed his ships and “discovered” America to prove that the world was round.

    Also in my home city, there is a huge statue of him…. Do White people really like to honor this guy? What do people even do on Columbus day anyways, have bbqs?

    In elementary, I said, “I don’t like Columbus” and this Asian girl was like “why? I like him, he discovered America”.
